ELOPEMENT GOWNS WE LOVE
During this crazy, uncertain & unprecedented time in our world, all of us have been forced to make some pretty drastic changes to our daily lives. Our routines and schedules have been flipped upside down and we know that some of you have had to make the heartbreaking decision to reschedule or even cancel your big day. We at Wild Blooms Bridal want you to know that our hearts ache for you and we are here for you NO MATTER WHAT!
Our friends, (and magical photography unicorns) The Ramsdens recently put together a guide for couples whose weddings have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic explaining the top 5 reasons to elope... and honestly? We are soooooo here for it! Choosing an intimate elopement ceremony might be right up your alley! Sooo, we at WBB are here to do what we do best.... show you our FAVORITE gowns from our current collection that we think are just PERFECT for an elopement.
These specific gowns have been hand chosen by us based on style & function. Elopement gowns should be light and easy to move around in. They should also be manageable for the bride to get in and out of and carry on her own, since you may not have a MOH on deck to help. In terms of style, elopement gowns are typically one of two things, very simplistic or super alternative. We picked our selection with all of these criteria in mind, hope you'll like what we chose!
So0o0o0o....who's ready to dress shop with us?!
1. Bec - by Emmy Mae Bridal
Bec is one of our all time favorite gowns, when we decided to add her to our collection it was mainly because when we saw her we thought, ELOPEMENTS! This gown is a serious head turner. Bec is super light & airy, which is exactlyyy what you need in an elopement gown. She is also perfect for sooo many settings! Beach, mountain top, desert, barn? YES, YES, YES and YESSSSS!
Details: 3d lace applique, thin french crepe spaghetti straps, low V back, low V illusion front with an option to have a middle split! Pictured here in Pebble, also available in Ivory.
2. Ada - by Ti Adora by Allison Webb
Ohhhh Ada, Ada, Ada. Let us count the waysssss in which we ARE OBSESSED WITH THIS GOWN! Ada is a great option for an eloping bride who wants an a-line silhouette without any of the extra fabric weight. This superrrr light and crazyyy soft gown moves so beautifully! The natural tulle train just gives off that elopement vibe we're dreaming of and the cashmere lining pops against all skin tones. Ada also pairs soo nicely with a custom leather or denim bridal jacket!
Details: Ivory/Cashmere lace and English Net A-line gown with a natural waist, sweetheart bodice with spaghetti straps and illusion trim along the neckline. Low scoop back, and cascading lace appliques over a layer of point d’esprit tulle. Also available in Ivory/Ivory.
3. Katrina- Private, non-label designer
I meannnn.......isn't it obvious?! Katrina is the ULTIMATE elopement gown for the unconventional bride who wants to make a statement! This floral print beauty boasts off the shoulder bishop sleeves, two front leg slits that make movement so fun & playful, crocheted bodice detail with a peek-a-boo detail at the sternum. The lightness of the fabric makes this gown sooo easy to carry and can be paired with a hat, crown or jacket to bring in some extra cool-girl flair..because WHY NOT go all out?! This gown is also perfect for allllll of the best elopement settings! Beach, mountain top, waterfall, barn, backyard bbq, Katrina is perfect for anywhere & everywhere!!
4. Leslie- by Lis Simon
Leslie is the perfect option for a late fall or winter elopement! We loveee the idea of a long sleeve that isn't super restricting on the arm. The textured lace detail on the overlay of this gown is so ethereal and gives us major woodland fairy princess vibes. She also looks amazinggg with an added jacket or cape and can be made even more magical with a major crown moment as pictured here.
Details: Floral lace, V neck illusion bodice, and flounce sleeves. A-line skirt with scattered appliqués throughout, low illusion back, and a sweep train. Pictured here in Ivory, also available in White.
5. Easton- by Madi Lane Bridal
We are still dreaming of the time Jordan Jankun Photography took our little Easton from NY
-> CA for a styled shoot at Joshua Tree National Park (click the link, you won't regret it). Ever since, we have not been able to stop looking at Easton as the perfect elopement gown! The floral lace applique is bold yet delicate and the Mocha lining just screams outdoor elopement. With only two layers and a manageable train, this beauty is light and easy to float around your elopement destination in!
Details: A-line silhouette, Deep V neckline, Low illusion back, zip closure. Shown here in Ivory/ Mocha, also available in Ivory only.
6. Elora- by Madi Lane Bridal
Sweet, sweet Elora. This gown in a bride favorite and for allll of the right reasons. We personally love Elora for an elopement because her pretty floral applique and light tulle skirt just gives us the ultimate garden / outdoor wedding feels. She is super easy to get in and out of, light as a feather and has removable off the shoulder straps for two different looks and easier movement! We are such suckers for anything removable, it's true.
Details: Subtle ballgown silhouette, sweetheart neckline, detachable off shoulder straps included, zip closure. Pictured here in Ivory/Mocha, also available in Ivory/ Ivory.
